Job Description
Who can apply
1. are available for full time (in-office) internship
2. can start the internship between 22nd Jul'22 and 26th Aug'22
3. are available for duration of 6 months
4. are from or open to relocate to Pune and neighboring cities
5. have relevant skills and interests
Responsibilities include:
1. Work at the special schools for the blind in Pune and Mumbai.
2. Engage with students and teachers with visual impairment, understand their challenges and implement the Vision Empower interventions at the special schools in Pune and Mumbai
3. Collect primary data as and when required while visiting the schools for the implementation of VE interventions
4. Involve field travel to schools to train teachers and interact with the students
5. Document the observation of the training of teachers and interactive sessions with children as per a pre-defined format
6. Work on the translation of existing VE TLMs from English to Marathi
7. Train the teachers and students on using the accessible and assistive technologies specifically created/provided by Vision Empower and its partners for the education of persons with visual impairment
Skill(s) required
Other requirements
1. Bachelor's or master's degree in any science subject
2. B.Ed/special B.Ed degree will be an added qualification
3. Proficient in Marathi and can communicate in English and Hindi
4. Basic ability to operate computers
5. Willingness to work with children and teachers with visual impairment
