Job Description
Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Electrical and Electronics Engineer to join our engineering or operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining electrical and electronic systems in line with company objectives and industry standards.
This role requires a strong understanding of circuit design, control systems, power systems, embedded systems, and industrial automation. You may work across departments such as R&D, maintenance, production, or field services, depending on the project and company requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design & Development
-
Design and develop electrical and electronic components, systems, and equipment.

Create detailed engineering drawings, circuit diagrams, and system layouts using software such as AutoCAD, OrCAD, or EPLAN.

Assist in product development involving microcontrollers, sensors, and control circuits.
2. Testing & Validation
-
Test and evaluate new electrical systems and components for performance, durability, and compliance.

Troubleshoot electrical systems using diagnostic tools like multimeters, oscilloscopes, and signal analyzers.

Ensure system compatibility, efficiency, and safety under operational conditions.
3. Installation & Maintenance
-
Oversee or support the installation and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems on-site.

Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.

Diagnose faults in existing systems and repair or replace defective components.
4. Project Execution
-
Work closely with project engineers, site supervisors, and other technical staff to ensure timely execution of electrical tasks.

Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities), cost estimates, and project schedules for electrical work.
-
Maintain documentation related to drawings, site reports, and compliance records.
5. Compliance & Quality Assurance
-
Ensure all systems adhere to national and international standards like BIS, IEC, or IEEE.

Follow industry best practices and company quality protocols for electrical safety and system integrity.
-
Participate in audits, product certifications, and regulatory inspections as required.
6. Collaboration & Reporting
-
Collaborate with mechanical, civil, automation, or software teams on multidisciplinary projects.
-
Maintain daily logs, technical reports, and progress records.
-
Provide technical support and training to junior engineers, technicians, or operators when needed.
Key Technical Skills Required:

Strong knowledge of electrical systems (AC/DC), transformers, switchgear, panels, and motors

Proficiency in PCB design and embedded system programming (optional but beneficial)

Understanding of industrial automation (PLC, SCADA, VFDs, HMI)
-
Hands-on experience with testing instruments: multimeter, LCR meter, CRO, etc.

Familiarity with CAD/Electrical design tools like AutoCAD Electrical, Proteus, or Eagle
-
Basic programming knowledge (Arduino, C, Python, MATLAB, etc.) preferred

Awareness of safety codes, earthing systems, and electrical load calculations
