Job Description
Job Opening: Electrical
Engineer (Diploma/B.Tech) – 1+ Year Experience
Key Responsibilities:
1. Electrical System Design and Development:
-
Design electrical systems for industrial machinery, buildings, or infrastructure, including wiring layouts, circuit diagrams, panel boards, and control systems.

Develop and review technical drawings, plans, and specifications using CAD software.

Select appropriate electrical components such as switches, circuit breakers, transformers, motors, and sensors.

Collaborate with mechanical and civil engineers on multi-disciplinary projects.
2. Installation and Commissioning:
-
Supervise the installation of electrical systems and equipment on-site, ensuring proper execution of plans.

Perform testing and commissioning of newly installed systems, ensuring compliance with performance and safety standards.

Troubleshoot startup issues, make necessary adjustments, and validate system functionality before handover.
3. Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
-
Monitor the performance of electrical equipment and identify early signs of malfunction or wear.
-
Diagnose and repair electrical issues in motors, control panels, drives (VFDs), switchgear, and lighting systems.

Maintain preventative maintenance schedules and documentation to minimize unplanned downtimes.
-
Coordinate with vendors and technicians to replace defective parts or systems.
4. Compliance and Safety:
-
Ensure that all designs, installations, and maintenance work comply with local electrical codes (e.g., IS, IEC, NEC), safety regulations, and environmental standards.

Prepare risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) for electrical tasks.

Promote safe work practices, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), PPE usage, and adherence to isolation protocols during electrical work.
5. Project Execution and Documentation:

Participate in electrical project planning, budgeting, and scheduling.

Prepare reports, cost estimates, and procurement documentation for electrical equipment and materials.

Keep detailed logs of all design modifications, testing records, and site activities.

Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders for smooth project execution.
6. Control Systems and Automation (if applicable):

Design and implement PLC/SCADA-based automation systems for industrial processes.

Configure electrical control panels and integrate them with sensors, actuators, and drives.

Support programming, calibration, and troubleshooting of automation systems.
7. Energy Management and Efficiency:
-
Evaluate and improve power factor, load balancing, and energy efficiency in existing systems.

Recommend energy-saving solutions and participate in sustainability initiatives.

Monitor energy consumption using meters and sensors and analyze data to optimize operations.
