Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer with strong knowledge of industrial automation, control panel design, and PLC programming to join our dynamic team. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, installing, and maintaining electrical control systems for industrial applications. The role involves working on live projects, providing technical support, troubleshooting issues at customer sites, and ensuring the successful execution of automation solutions.
The primary job location is Chennai, but the role requires frequent travel to other states based on project requirements and customer service needs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Industrial Automation and Control Systems
Design, develop, and implement automation solutions for various industrial applications.
Work on PLC programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Schneider, Delta, etc.) and configure logic as per project requirements.
Integrate SCADA, HMI, and other industrial software tools into automation systems.
Test and validate system performance to ensure optimal functionality.
2. Control Panel Design and Development
Design and develop electrical control panels based on client specifications and project needs.
Prepare schematic diagrams, wiring layouts, and panel assembly drawings using AutoCAD or equivalent software.
Select appropriate electrical components, drives, relays, sensors, circuit breakers, and protective devices.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
3. Project Execution and Site Support
Oversee on-site installation, commissioning, and testing of automation systems and control panels.
Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and vendors for timely project execution.
Provide technical support and guidance to site engineers and technicians.
Perform preventive maintenance, system upgrades, and modifications when required.
4. Troubleshooting and Customer Service
Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to control panels, PLCs, sensors, motors, and drives.
Respond quickly to customer service calls and provide on-site troubleshooting support.
Ensure minimal downtime and provide effective solutions to operational issues.
Maintain detailed service reports and feedback for continuous improvement.
5. Documentation and Reporting
Prepare project documentation, including wiring diagrams, test reports, user manuals, and technical reports.
Maintain accurate records of control panel designs, PLC programs, and site service activities.
Provide regular updates to management on project status and field activities.
Required Skills and Competencies
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of industrial automation systems, including PLCs, SCADA, and HMIs.
Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Schneider, Delta, etc.).
Hands-on experience in control panel design, assembly, and testing.
Good understanding of electrical systems, motors, drives, relays, and circuit protections.
Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, etc.).
Knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent design tools.
Soft Skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
