Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer or Diploma Engineer with 2+ years of hands-on experience in electrical design, system integration, and project implementation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing Lighting and related solution for a Project site, testing, and maintaining electrical systems and components to required specifications, focusing on economy, safety, reliability, quality, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and test electrical systems and equipment for All Lighting solutions (e.g., control panels, circuit layouts, wiring diagrams).
- Support the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems in compliance with national codes and company standards.
- Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting for electrical failures in systems or equipment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, project managers, and procurement teams to ensure smooth execution of projects.
- Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and documentation using tools like AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar is added advantage.
- Assist in energy efficiency assessments and recommend design modifications for system optimization.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards (e.g., IEC, NEC, IEEE).
- Participate in field testing, inspections, and validation of electrical components or systems.
- Contribute to technical reports, proposals, and client documentation as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Diploma in the same or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in electrical engineering roles, preferably in [industry, e.g., power, manufacturing, construction, etc.].
- Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks Electrical, etc.) and electrical simulation tools.
- Familiarity with electrical codes and safety standards.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with PLCs, SCADA systems, or industrial automation.
- Exposure to renewable energy systems (e.g., solar, wind).
- Certification (e.g., EIT/FE, PMP, or local electrical licensing) is a plus.
