Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Preventive and Corrective Maintenance
-
Assist in performing routine preventive maintenance on electrical systems, machinery, and infrastructure.

Support in identifying, diagnosing, and resolving electrical faults or malfunctions in equipment and wiring.

Replace or repair faulty electrical components such as switches, circuit breakers, wiring, fuses, lighting fixtures, and motors.

Follow detailed maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime.
2. Electrical System Support
-
Learn to read and interpret electrical schematics, circuit diagrams, and technical manuals.

Assist in installing and testing electrical equipment and wiring according to technical drawings and safety codes.

Work with tools such as multimeters, clamp meters, testers, and other diagnostic instruments under supervision.

Observe and report potential safety hazards and maintenance issues to senior staff.
3. Documentation and Reporting
-
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, service requests, and repair history.

Fill out checklists and logbooks for daily maintenance tasks.

Report all tasks, issues, and completed work to the supervisor or maintenance head.
4. Safety and Compliance
-
Adhere to all electrical safety standards, company policies, and local electrical codes.

Participate in toolbox talks and safety briefings conducted by the HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) team.

Ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times while on duty.

Stay informed about safety procedures, lock-out/tag-out systems, and emergency protocols.
5. Learning and Development

Attend training sessions, workshops, and on-the-job coaching to enhance technical knowledge and hands-on skills.

Continuously update knowledge of electrical systems, control panels, and instrumentation.

Learn about new technologies, energy-efficient systems, and automation used in modern facilities.
