Key Responsibilities
1. Electrical Maintenance and Repair
-
Perform regular inspection, maintenance, and repair of electrical wiring, fixtures, control systems, motors, relays, sensors, and other equipment.

Diagnose electrical malfunctions using appropriate testing devices and repair faults to minimize downtime.
-
Replace or repair defective electrical components such as fuses, switches, circuit breakers, contactors, and transformers.
2. Preventive Maintenance
-
Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance activities to reduce breakdown risks.

Maintain records of maintenance work completed, parts used, and next service due dates.
-
Ensure all electrical panels, distribution boards, and equipment are operating efficiently and safely.
3. Installation and Upgrades
-
Assist in the installation of new electrical systems or equipment as per project requirements or expansion plans.

Support wiring, cable routing, panel mounting, and system testing for new machines or plant upgrades.
-
Coordinate with the engineering team to understand layouts and electrical drawings.
4. Troubleshooting and Emergency Response
-
Respond promptly to electrical emergencies, breakdowns, or alarms to minimize disruption in operations.

Use multimeters, clamp meters, insulation testers, and other diagnostic tools to identify faults.

Provide temporary solutions in emergencies and coordinate permanent repair actions.
5. Compliance and Safety
-
Adhere strictly to electrical codes, safety guidelines, and company SOPs during all activities.

Ensure all work areas, tools, and equipment are maintained in a safe and clean condition.

Report unsafe conditions or near-misses to the safety officer or maintenance supervisor.
6. Coordination and Documentation
-
Work in coordination with mechanical, instrumentation, and HVAC teams for integrated maintenance tasks.

Maintain accurate logs, service reports, and job completion records for internal audits and compliance.

Submit spare part requirements and assist in inventory control of electrical supplies.
