Electrical Supervisor
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Site Supervision
-
Supervise and manage the erection, commissioning, and maintenance of 33/11 kV HT/LT electrical lines, including poles, conductors, insulators, transformers, and related equipment.

Oversee line stringing, sagging, and termination work, ensuring proper tension and clearances.

Supervise underground cabling, cable jointing, and trenching where applicable.

Monitor and control labour deployment, subcontractor work, and equipment usage.

Ensure availability of materials, tools, and manpower on-site to avoid delays.
2. Quality Control & Compliance
-
Verify installation work against drawings, designs, and technical specifications.

Conduct routine quality checks during and after work completion.

Ensure adherence to standards issued by the DISCOMs, Electricity Boards, and relevant authorities.

Maintain and update documentation, including daily progress reports, inspection checklists, and test results.
3. Safety & Risk Management
-
Enforce strict adherence to electrical safety procedures, PPE usage, and work-at-height protocols.

Identify and report potential hazards or unsafe practices on site.

Conduct toolbox talks or safety briefings with the crew before starting work each day.

Ensure all electrical isolation and earthing procedures are followed during maintenance or installation.
4. Coordination
-
Liaise with site engineers, project managers, and clients for work planning and execution.

Coordinate with stores for timely material requisition and consumption records.

Interface with DISCOM inspectors or utility engineers for inspections and approvals.

Support third-party testing or utility service connections as required.
5. Reporting and Documentation
-
Maintain a daily work log, recording manpower, material usage, and progress.

Submit work completion reports, as-built drawings, and inspection records.

Assist in billing support by providing quantities executed on site.
