Salary: ₹12,000 – ₹15,000 per month
Requirements:
Experience in hospital or commercial electrical systems preferred
Knowledge of maintenance, wiring, lighting, and electrical equipment
Immediate joiners will be given preference
Key Responsibilities
1. Electrical Installation & Maintenance
-
Install, inspect, and maintain hospital electrical systems, including lighting, wiring, switchboards, circuit breakers, and power panels.

Set up power connections for medical equipment, operating theaters, ICU systems, and laboratory devices.

Ensure the safe installation of high-voltage and low-voltage systems as per hospital infrastructure requirements.

Handle UPS systems, stabilizers, and emergency backup systems to maintain continuous power supply.
2. Power Supply & Equipment Monitoring
-
Monitor the hospital’s main power distribution, ensuring steady and uninterrupted power to critical departments like ICU, OT, NICU, and labs.

Manage and maintain diesel generators (DG sets), UPS units, and solar power systems (if available).

Conduct regular inspections of electrical panels, meters, and power control units.

Coordinate with facility management to ensure energy efficiency and optimal power usage.
3. Troubleshooting & Repairs
-
Diagnose and repair faults in hospital electrical systems, ensuring minimum downtime of equipment and services.

Respond immediately to power outages or electrical failures in critical care units.

Test and replace faulty wiring, switches, MCBs, relays, and transformers.

Maintain medical-grade electrical safety, especially for life-supporting machines.
4. Preventive Maintenance & Safety
-
Perform routine preventive maintenance to reduce equipment failures.

Follow a strict hospital maintenance checklist to ensure high standards of electrical safety.

Test and maintain earthing systems, fire alarms, and emergency lighting.

Ensure proper insulation and protection of electrical installations as per healthcare safety regulations.

Maintain up-to-date maintenance logs and reports for audits and compliance purposes.
5. Compliance & Hospital Standards

Follow National Electrical Code (NEC) and hospital-specific safety guidelines.

Ensure compliance with NABH and JCI hospital accreditation standards.

Maintain knowledge of biomedical safety standards to protect sensitive equipment.

Coordinate with internal departments and vendors for external inspections and audits.
6. Coordination & Teamwork
-
Work closely with the biomedical engineering team to ensure uninterrupted functioning of medical equipment.

Collaborate with other technicians, plumbers, HVAC engineers, and facility staff for integrated hospital maintenance.

Assist during hospital expansions, renovation works, and electrical infrastructure upgrades.

Provide training to junior electricians and maintenance helpers when required.

Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of hospital-grade electrical systems and power supply mechanisms.

Expertise in working with UPS, DG sets, stabilizers, and power backup systems.

Familiarity with wiring, circuit design, motor rewinding, and switchgear installation.

Knowledge of medical equipment power requirements and sensitivity handling.

Ability to read electrical diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals.
