Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and components in residential, commercial, or industrial environments. You will work on wiring, lighting, power distribution, control systems, and other electrical infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to follow safety regulations and codes precisely. This position requires a commitment to high-quality workmanship, efficiency, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Electrical Installation

Install electrical systems, components, and equipment in accordance with local and national electrical codes (e.g., NEC).

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.

Set up and wire panels, circuit breakers, transformers, lighting systems, and receptacles.

Run conduit, pull wire, and ensure proper connections and terminations.
2. Maintenance and Repair

Inspect electrical systems and components regularly to identify hazards, defects, or the need for repair.

Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues in a safe and timely manner.

Replace or repair faulty wiring, switches, outlets, fixtures, or other components as needed.

Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems to ensure long-term functionality and compliance.
3. Safety and Compliance

Follow all safety protocols and ensure work complies with OSHA standards, local building codes, and company policies.

Utilize lockout/tagout procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Maintain a clean and organized work area to prevent accidents and injuries.

Ensure all completed work passes inspections and testing standards.
4. Documentation and Communication

Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on tasks.

Report any incidents, safety concerns, or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.

Coordinate with other trades (e.g., plumbing, HVAC, carpentry) to ensure smooth project execution.

Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, and team members regarding project status and timelines.
5. Tools and Equipment

Operate and maintain a wide variety of electrical tools and testing equipment, including multimeters, voltage testers, conduit benders, drills, and power tools.

Ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained, calibrated, and used in a safe manner.
