Job Description
- A CCTV (closed-circuit television) technician, also known as a CCTV installation technician, installs and maintains CCTV systems and other security-related systems. Their responsibilities include:
- Installation Mounting and positioning cameras, running cables, connecting power sources, and configuring cameras
- Configuration Ensuring the system is compatible with the necessary software and connected to the correct wiring
- Maintenance Regularly inspecting and maintaining equipment, cleaning and adjusting cameras, and replacing faulty components
- Troubleshooting Identifying and repairing problems with the system
- Upgrades Executing upgrades and additions to systems to increase functionality and usability
- Performing circuit breaker corrective maintenance.
- Maintaining good knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems as well as various testing equipment.
