Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and dependable Electrician to join our car accessories fitting shop. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of car accessories and electrical systems. These may include music systems, reverse cameras, parking sensors, security alarms, fog lights, GPS devices, LED lights, central locking systems, and more.
This role requires hands-on technical expertise, a strong understanding of vehicle electrical systems, and a customer-focused attitude. The Electrician must ensure that installations are done safely, efficiently, and without damage to the vehicle.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Installation of Car Accessories

Install various electrical accessories in cars, such as:

Car audio systems (speakers, amplifiers, subwoofers)

Reverse parking cameras and sensors
-
Fog lamps, DRLs (Daytime Running Lights), and LED lights
-
Car alarms, immobilizers, and GPS tracking systems
-
Central locking systems and power window kits
-
Mobile chargers, screen monitors, and infotainment systems
-
Dashboard cameras (dash cams) and Bluetooth kits

2. Diagnosis and Troubleshooting

Diagnose electrical issues in vehicles using appropriate testing equipment.

Identify faults in wiring, fuses, relays, switches, and other components.

Perform necessary repairs or replacements to restore functionality.
3. Wiring and Circuit Management
-
Perform clean and secure wiring jobs using proper insulation, connectors, and clips.

Route cables safely around the vehicle, avoiding interference with airbags, ECU units, or vehicle sensors.

Ensure installations are grounded correctly and do not drain the car battery.
4. Customer Interaction and Support

Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable accessories or upgrades.

Explain installed features, how to operate them, and basic maintenance tips.

Handle customer concerns or issues in a professional manner.
5. Safety and Quality Assurance

Ensure all installations comply with safety standards and do not interfere with the car’s original systems.

Conduct final tests after fitting to ensure accessories function correctly.

Maintain cleanliness and avoid damage to vehicle interiors and trims during installation.
6. Maintenance and Workshop Organization

Keep work area clean and tools organized.

Maintain an inventory of commonly used electrical accessories and spare parts.

Ensure tools and equipment are in good working condition.
