Job Description
1. Daily Electrical Maintenance Check
2. Repairing and replacing equipment, electrical wiring, and fixtures.
3. Maintaining electrical equipment
4. Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
Key Responsibilities:

Installation:
-
Install electrical wiring, systems, fixtures, and equipment in buildings.

Set up lighting, power outlets, switchboards, distribution boards, and circuit breakers.

Connect wiring to transformers, circuit breakers, and other components.

Maintenance and Repair:
-
Inspect and maintain electrical systems to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards.

Troubleshoot and repair faulty wiring, equipment, and fixtures.

Perform routine maintenance checks and preventive repairs.

Testing and Diagnostics:
-
Use testing devices such as voltmeters, ammeters, and ohmmeters to diagnose issues.

Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits to ensure compatibility and safety.

Compliance and Safety:
-
Ensure all electrical work complies with local and national electrical codes and safety standards.

Follow all safety procedures to prevent accidents, fires, or electrical hazards.

Maintain proper documentation of electrical work performed.

Reading Blueprints:

Interpret and work from blueprints, technical diagrams, and building plans.

Determine the layout of electrical wiring and equipment based on drawings and specifications.

Project Support:

Assist in planning and budgeting for electrical projects.

Coordinate with other trades (plumbers, carpenters, HVAC technicians) during construction or renovation work.

Provide support during new installations, renovations, or system upgrades.
Technical Skills:

Proficiency with hand and power tools used in electrical work.

Knowledge of electrical systems, safety codes, and standards.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.

Soft Skills:

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, bend, kneel, or climb ladders for extended periods.

Capable of lifting heavy tools and equipment (up to 25–50 kg if needed).
