Electronics Service Engineer
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:

Installation and Commissioning:
-
Install, configure, and commission electronic systems and equipment at client sites or company facilities.

Ensure systems are installed according to technical specifications and safety standards.

Perform on-site testing and calibration to ensure proper operation and functionality.
-
Provide technical training to end-users and operators on the use and maintenance of equipment.

Maintenance and Servicing:
-
Conduct routine maintenance and preventive servicing of electronic systems to minimize downtime.
-
Replace or repair faulty components such as circuit boards, sensors, power supplies, connectors, or displays.
-
Perform system upgrades and firmware updates as required.

Maintain detailed service records, maintenance logs, and checklists for each client or equipment unit.

Troubleshooting and Repair:
-
Diagnose and resolve technical issues reported by customers or identified during inspections.
-
Use testing equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and logic analyzers to identify faults.

Read and interpret circuit diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
-
Work under pressure to resolve urgent service issues with minimal downtime.

Customer Support and Communication:
-
Provide responsive and professional support to clients, addressing technical concerns clearly and effectively.

Document service calls and provide detailed reports outlining the problem, steps taken, and solutions implemented.

Follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and proper equipment performance post-repair.

Build strong relationships with clients through dependable service and technical expertise.

Quality Control and Compliance:

Ensure all service work complies with industry standards and company protocols.
-
Follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) and safety guidelines during servicing and handling of sensitive components.

Keep up to date with product improvements, industry trends, and emerging technologies.

Support internal audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Inventory and Equipment Management:
-
Maintain accurate records of spare parts used and request replenishment when stock is low.
-
Ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained, calibrated, and stored.

Track warranty periods and initiate warranty service or part replacement when applicable.
