Embedded Controls Software Engineer (senior)

Responsibilities:

Designs robotic software for electro-mechanical control systems
Designs and debugs with multithreading applications and embedded systems architecture
Writes software for real time hardware I/O control and feedback analysis
Tests bug fixes
Works with the Prototypes in the lab to confirm code algorithms
Works with real time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded platforms
Designs, develops and tests C++ / C# computer applications on Windows based computer systems using the
Microsoft Visual Studio suite of development tools

Requirements:

Candidates must possess a Degree in Electronics/ Mechatronics/Software or equivalent with a 3 years relevant
experience in Industrial Automation projects
Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded platforms
Ability to apply object-oriented design and development techniques, using C++ / C# programming
Experience using Matlab
Strong understanding of modern software development methodologies and the software development lifecycle
Strong background in embedded / network software development, and knowledge of Embedded Object-Oriented
Development methodologies and approaches
Designing and debugging experience with multi-threading application with embedded systems architecture
Strong code development history using software to solve real-world problems
Good understanding of real-time hardware I/O control and feedback analysis
Working knowledge of electronic and electromechanical devices such as analog inputs and outputs, encoders,
proximity sensors, etc.
Experience working with TwinCAT and Linux, a plus
Ability to participate & be flexible for assignments local & overseas business trip at a short notice
