Job Description
Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated, hardworking, and animal-loving individual to join our aquarium shop team. The candidate will be responsible for handling day-to-day shop operations, assisting customers, maintaining aquariums, feeding and caring for fishes and other aquatic animals, and ensuring a clean, safe, and friendly environment inside and outside the shop. The ideal candidate must be polite, sincere, and passionate about animals.
Key Responsibilities
A. Customer Service

Greet customers politely and assist them in selecting fishes, aquariums, and related products.

Provide information about fish care, feeding, and aquarium maintenance.

Handle customer queries and provide professional support to ensure customer satisfaction.

Build and maintain good relationships with regular customers.
B. Animal Care & Maintenance
-
Feed fishes and other aquatic animals on a regular schedule.

Maintain clean and healthy aquarium conditions by performing water changes, filter cleaning, and tank hygiene.

Monitor animal health and report any illness or abnormal behavior immediately.

Handle animals carefully and ensure their safety and well-being.
C. Shop Operations

Assist in stocking, labeling, and organizing products in the shop.

Keep the shop neat, clean, and well-maintained.

Handle cash transactions, billing, and invoicing if required.

Help in loading and unloading stock when needed.
D. Outside Shop Assistance

Assist with delivery of products to customers when required.

Support in setting up aquariums at customer locations.

Coordinate with suppliers and manage incoming and outgoing stock.
Required Skills & Competencies
A. Technical & Practical Skills

Basic knowledge of aquarium setup, fish care, and maintenance.

Ability to handle aquatic animals safely and confidently.

Familiarity with aquarium equipment like filters, heaters, and air pumps.
B. Soft Skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
