Job Description

Key responsibilities

  • Case management: Lead the intake, investigation, and resolution of complex employee relations cases, including harassment, discrimination, and policy violations.

  • Investigations: Conduct fair, impartial, and timely investigations, gather evidence, and prepare detailed, high-quality reports with findings and recommendations.

  • Guidance and support: Serve as a primary point of contact for employees and managers, providing guidance on ER issues, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.

  • Compliance: Ensure all actions and resolutions align with company policies, procedures, and employment laws. This includes providing risk assessments and ensuring consistency with legal frameworks.

  • Policy and training: Collaborate with HR and Legal teams to develop and update employee relations policies. Design and deliver training to managers and employees on topics like workplace conduct, anti-harassment, and conflict resolution.

  • Data analysis: Monitor and analyze case management data to identify trends and inform strategies for improving workplace culture, policies, and training.

  • Record keeping: Maintain confidential, accurate, and organized records of all case-related activities, investigations, and outcomes.

  • Investigative skills: Ability to conduct thorough, impartial, and objective investigations.

  • Conflict resolution: Strong mediation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills to resolve conflicts effectively.

  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and empathy.

  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of employment law, labor regulations, and company policies.

  • Interpersonal skills: Ability to build trust and rapport with employees and management at all levels.

  • Organizational skills: Excellent time management and organizational skills to handle multiple cases and prioritize workload effectively.

  • Confidentiality: A strong understanding and respect for confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information.
