Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Install FTTH connections including fiber cable laying, splicing, termination, and testing
- Perform last-mile fiber installation to customer premises
- Configure and install ONT/ONU, routers, and Wi-Fi devices
- Conduct fiber splicing, jointing, and testing using OTDR and power meter
- Troubleshoot network faults, signal loss, and connectivity issues
- Attend customer complaints and ensure timely resolution
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of fiber network
- Maintain installation and service reports in the system
- Follow safety standards and company SOPs during field work
- Coordinate with NOC and backend teams for issue resolution
Required Skills & Knowledge
- Basic understanding of FTTH, FTTx, GPON networks
- Fiber splicing, joint closure, and termination knowledge
- Ability to use tools like OTDR, power meter, splicing machine
- Basic networking knowledge (IP, LAN, Wi-Fi)
- Good communication and customer-handling skills
- Willingness to work in field and flexible hours
