Job Description

As CAD engineer, the candidate will work closely with Microchipâs Engineering Services team to learn EDA software for padring development. He/She will be trained in using the flow and then take on the task of supporting the flow for the organization. This includes

Master the use of the tools and flows used for padring development
Work with the EDA tool vendor to support relevant tool updates
Understand Microchip pad ring strategy changes by working with different BUs
Support the current tool flow for all Business Units
Support and enhance the current flow with requests/changes as per needs
Work on a computer workstation daily in the Linux OS environment

Job Requirements

Job Requirements

Bachelorâs degree majoring in Electronic Engineering, Electronic Engineering Technology or related program
2 years working in the semiconductor industry and having a general understanding of chip design with a understanding of padring and IO development preferred
Programming languages â Java, python
Familiar with linux/unix work environments
Experience with industry standard flows and tools
Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA
Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented
Effective communication skills, strong work ethic, and the desire to continually learn
Microsoft Office skills with focus in Excel and Word
