About Planys Technologies Private Limited

Planys Technologies Private Limited is an IIT Madras-incubated startup company that provides immersed robotic inspection and survey solutions using indigenously manufactured submersible and remotely operated underwater vehicles (ROV) and autonomous underwater vehicles (AUV). The founders of the company are recent IIT Madras alumni and faculty from mechanical engineering. We aim to cover the whole breadth of automated inspection solutions, starting from customized design and fabrication of robotic platforms to integrated sensing and diagnostics. We span under the domain of marine robotics combining various inspection techniques and post-inspection analysis tools.

About the internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Performing high-level engineering tasks for technology development towards ROV sub-systems in line with the company's objectives
2. Designing payloads for underwater ROV sub-systems through rigorous literature reviewing and analytical approaches
3. Developing prototypes, test equipment, and performing experimental studies towards the development of new products
4. Meticulously documenting the design processes and test results

3. are available for duration of 6 months

4. have relevant skills and interests

Other requirements

1. Must have a B.Tech or BE degree in electrical, electronics, design engineering, or any other engineering degree in line with recommended skills

2. Must have experience working on embedded system design, implementation of data acquisition, and signal or image processing methods and tools in a programming language of choice

3. Must have efficient communication skills

4. Must have the ability to work unattended and independently following laid out work plans

5. Must have prior experience in robotics/product development or expertise which can be demonstrated through past experiences with projects/competitions
