Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Engineering Intern with a strong foundation in vehicle emissions control and CFD/reactive flows modeling to work with us on a paid internship of SIX (06) MONTHS. During the internship, you will contribute to diverse projects involving (but not limited to) development of catalyst modeling capabilities, design of engine aftertreatment systems, and the assessment of technical developments in the field of transport decarbonization and related fields. The nature of engagement will be such that it will focus on imparting excellent exposure to challenges faced by industry in the transport decarbonization sector.
Potential assignments
- Support modeling and simulation projects involving design and performance evaluation of exhaust gas aftertreatment systems
- Perform CFD and chemical kinetics modeling of reactive flows in vehicle emissions systems
- Analyze vehicle emissions data and regulatory trends to inform decarbonization strategies
- Assist in preparing technical reports and white papers
- Summarize latest technical developments available through publications and conference proceedings
- Develop scripts, codes, and calculators that help with day-to-day activities
Required Qualifications
- M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical, Chemical, or Automotive Engineering from reputed universities. (We are seeking candidates who have already completed their course)
- Hands-on experience with CFD tools and reaction modeling
- Strong understanding of vehicle emissions control technologies (DOC, DPF, SCR, etc.)
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Willingness to learn in a dynamic and open environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to modelling of batteries, hydrogen fuel cells and hydrogen combustion technologies will be a plus
- Familiarity with transport decarbonization policies and regulations
