Job Description
Identify opportunity to develop and update piping and fixed equipment strategy for integrity, based on
Risk Based Inspection (RBI) process as per API 580 & API 581.
Finding potential damage mechanisms, failure modes associated with each RBI component
or group of equipment’s/piping.
Identifying and implementing the right Risk mitigation activities and determining the residual risk after
the implementation of recommended mitigation measures.
Risk Management with different inspection tasks.
Facilitate meetings with Operations, Process Technical, and Maintenance and Engineering team for
RBI Equipment Strategy review.
Perform Risk-Based analysis, develops/modifies inspection plans/intervals.
Inspection confidence evaluation of historical inspections, which used to provide credit for probability of
failure (POF) assessments.
Very familiar with different types of drawings like Isometric, PFD, P&ID, GAD, Equipment and Structural
drawings.
Preparation and review of inspection job packs for plant turnarounds/on-stream inspection activities
and coordinates these functions with Inspection or Executing team.
Review and update the inspection and NDE techniques required for static equipment, including the
extent and locations of inspection and NDE. Evaluate inspection results, performs corrosion rate and
remaining life calculations.
Interpretation of Radiographic films and other NDE results. Based on the RBI, operational
requirements and recommendations performing the internal, external, and on-stream inspection and
preparing the inspection reports and recommendations.
Perform inspection activities like witnessing stage wise inspection as per approved procedure &
standards (Pressure vessels, Heat Exchangers, columns, Heaters, Air-fin coolers, etc.)
Stage wise inspection of static equipment and Review of WPS, PQR & Welders Qualification as per
ASME code and project specification.
Monitor progress of the job as per the schedule and foresee any delays in completion of the project and
intimate client with recommendations.
Asset integrity - Inspection of vessels / piping /Equipment's /Tanks as per RBI Recommended
Schedules based on Risk Matrix (pressure/ temp / fluid etc.)
Asset Integrity activities Close visual inspection, CUI inspection, Painting coating, Equipment External
inspection, Area Inspection, Structure inspection, Equipment Internal Inspection, Failure analysis.
Failure analysis and report preparation & follow up to rectify the same to ensure normal operation.
Corrosion loop marking and CML location identification and P&ID marking.
Collects and input data from corrosion, NDT and process team.
Updates all daily work activities in Asset register, Hydro test register, anomalies and failure register.
Daily reporting to Asset manager and senior engineer.
Corrosion coupon analysis and data management. .
Monitoring & implementing the quality the activities as per QA Plan.
Plant walk down, Area inspection, thickness survey, equipment integrity.
Review and co-ordinate the approval of Standards and safety instructions.
Reviewing the Manufacturer’s Inspection Test plans as per ASME Code and project specification.
(Pressure vessels, Heat Exchangers, columns, structural steels, Valves, Pumps, skid package, piping
materials, items etc.)
Conduct internal, external planned & unplanned inspections on all static equipment/facilities (columns,
drums, Separators, heat exchangers, Pressure vessels, flares, tanks and piping) and to compiles
