Responsiblities

Some of the key activities the process control team is responsible for are as below

Process Control plays a vital role in supporting the key objectives of Control & Reporting (C&R) organization by having an independent and transparent Performance Measurement and reporting process and a centralized and effective Risk and Control assessment and testing program. The team caters to C&R co-heads, Process owners (internal business partners) and Regional Legal Entity Finance teams (external business partners).
  • Setting up and maintenance (including change management and yearly reviews) of performance measurement framework
  • Establishing process based metrics in-discussion with PO's and PC's as well as month on month reporting to key business partners
  • Metrics which display the health of the underlying processes (KPI/KRI's); as well as
  • Provide data around scale and size of the processes (PI/RI's)
  • Independently collaborate with control and process owners on ongoing design of internal controls, identifies control gaps and proposes control re-design and/or new controls to address gaps.
  • Provide recommendations for control operational improvements that will increase efficiency with adequate coverage of risks
  • Partner in annual control adequacy assessment via the BOY activity, advice on optimization of controls
  • Review and assess the 1st level of defense and create a framework to strengthen it
  • Governance / tracking around all issues /actions across C&R
  • Develop standardized framework around review and governance of GLAO accounts. Meet the requirements laid out by the Bank
  • Create an effective Risk self-assessment framework that facilitates identification and mitigation of risks and add value to the business.

Overview of the department / team

The team currently has around 11 employees at various hierarchies (1 Director, 6 VP’s, 5 AVP’s)

Key Responsibilities
  • You will be working on the enhancing and reviewing the control's framework across FMAR line teams including SOX, CAF, RRF, MI, GLAO such as:

  • Tracking commitments for SOX, GLAO, RRF
  • Tracking data lineage for BCBS 239
  • Monitoring and reviewing key process metrics
  • Ensuring closure of control commitments appropriately
  • The candidate would also prepare key deliverables such as:
  • Monthly Control Deck for FMAR and FO&AM
  • Monthly Process Deck for FMAR and FO&AM
  • BCBS 239 Data Governance
  • Legal Entity Finance (LEF) Governance Pack

  • These decks comprise of critical information such as Key Performance Indicators, Key Risk Indicators, Control Metrics represented and discussed with N-3’s (Managing Directors)

  • Attend the meetings with the N-3’s (Managing Directors)

    Essentials Skills And Qualifications
    • Understanding of finance process (Financial reporting, AP, Financial systems, Accounting, Intercompany, Consolidation, Reporting, etc.)
    • Good listening skills
    • Proven experience working with remote teams across different cultures
    • Outstanding skills in Microsoft Excel, Power point and Word
    • A can do positive attitude!
    • Result oriented, dedicated, hardworking who can work on own initiative and can deliver on time under pressure with a high level of integrity and flexibility, sense of urgency, attention to detail and quality standards

    Desired Skills And Qualifications
    • CA Fresher/MBA graduate, CA Inter with 3-4 years of proven experience in working in Corporate finance function, preferably in a Financial Services/Banks
    • Knowledge of performance measurement, Risk and control environment will be an add-on
    • Confident & professional in communication
    • Collaborative and proactive approach, should be able to connect well with people across teams
