CMT India , APAC engineering division of CMT, is looking for outstanding engineering students with strong software development backgrounds who are ready to make an impact on millions, if not billions, of users.

If you enjoy dealing with complex thread interactions and solving problems in resource-poor (low storage, limited energy source, limited CPU) environments, then this role is for you. CMT is seeking software engineers interested in enhancing the mobile and web application platforms providing their customers' the 'Drivewell' experience. The suite of Drivewell products are responsible for (a) collecting and processing data from on-phone and external sensors, (b) detecting when trips occur, and (c) reliably transmitting the data to our telematics analysis platform (d) Applications that display, consume and integrate driving analytics with business context.

Responsibilities

Execute full software development life cycle (SDLC)
Write well-designed, testable code
Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures
Document and maintain software functionality
Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems
Conduct complex data analysis and report on results
Prepare data for prescriptive and predictive modeling
Build algorithms and prototypes

Requirements

Have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
Have a solid understanding of algorithm complexity
Be proficient in at least one programming language such as Java, C++, Python, and Swift
Be proficient in Unix/Linux
Have strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
Have strong communication skills, a growth mindset, and the ability to adapt and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
No prior experience in mobile development is required!

“Nice to have” skills

solid understanding of client/server architectures, operating system concepts, and distributed systems
Familiar with source control systems such as git, hg, svn
Familiar with the software development lifecycle
