Job Description
About the internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Research sustainability-related challenges all over India
2. Understand the reasons for those challenges
3. Segment the challenges according to their sectors and speak to industry experts about them
4. Connect with local stakeholders related to the challenges. Like nearby NGOs, NPOs, social organizations, businesses, institutes, administration, local influential personalities, philanthropists, professionals, administration, media, etc.
5. Research if there are any geographical, cultural, ethnic, historical, or political associations to that challenge
6. Interview and survey relevant people to critically understand the challenges from all fronts
7. Estimate the possible impact that will be achieved after solving the problem
8. Research government policies pertaining to that specific challenge
9. Collect all data related to population, area, average income, population density, unemployment percentage, etc.
10. Design research studies for shortlisted problems
11. Conduct social research remotely with help of local students, professionals, etc.
12. Identify mentors with suitable backgrounds on the ground and coordinate the details of the project with them
