Job Title: Environmental Engineer
Location: Pune & Mumbai (Site-Based Role)
Employment Type: Full-Time

Reporting To: Operations / Plant Manager
Weekly Off: One day off (rotational or fixed)
Travelling Allowance: Provided as per company policy
Two-Wheeler: Must have own two-wheeler for daily site visits
Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and hands-on Environmental Engineer to manage and maintain STP (Sewage Treatment Plants), ETP (Effluent Treatment Plants), RO (Reverse Osmosis), and DM (Demineralization) plants located across Pune and Mumbai. The candidate must have a strong technical understanding of water treatment systems and be ready for regular on-site visits, troubleshooting, and plant maintenance work.
This is a field-intensive role requiring a proactive attitude, willingness to travel, and ownership of all systems under care.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Visits & Maintenance

Regularly visit assigned sites across Pune and Mumbai for preventive and breakdown maintenance.

Monitor and inspect the functioning of STP, ETP, RO, and DM plants to ensure smooth operations.

Carry out routine servicing, repairs, and part replacements as needed.

Record and report plant performance data, water quality results, and any system irregularities.
Troubleshooting & Problem Resolution

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and chemical issues at the plant sites.

Coordinate with vendors or senior engineers for complex repairs or spare parts requirements.

Ensure timely resolution of any plant-related breakdowns with minimal downtime.
System Design & Project Assistance

Assist in the designing, construction, and commissioning of new water treatment systems (if applicable).

Participate in upgradation or optimization of existing treatment plants.

Prepare basic design layouts, BOQs, and site plans under supervision (where required).
Reporting & Documentation

Maintain daily maintenance logs, service records, and site reports.

Submit reports on operational efficiency, chemical usage, and maintenance activity.

Maintain communication with site managers, clients, and in-house teams for status updates.
Candidate Requirements:

Education: Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Environmental Engineering, Mechanical, Chemical, or related field.

Must-Have: Personal two-wheeler for local travel to site locations.

Skills Required:

Basic understanding of electrical, mechanical, and process systems

Hands-on troubleshooting ability

Familiarity with water treatment chemicals and dosing systems

Knowledge of safety protocols at water treatment sites

Language: Fluency in Hindi, Marathi, and basic English preferred.
