Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Oracle APEX Developer to design, develop, and maintain low-code
high‑performance web applications using Oracle APEX. In this role, you'll build scalable,
secure solutions for biotech and healthcare IT infrastructure and collaborate with cross-
functional teams in agile environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop responsive enterprise-grade web applications using Oracle
APEX, including forms, reports, dashboards, charts and interactive grids.
Develop and optimize PL/SQL procedures, packages, and SQL queries to ensure
performance, scalability, and maintainability.
Implement advanced Oracle APEX features such as Dynamic Actions, REST Data
Sources, and Universal Theme customization.
Utilize CSS and JavaScript to enhance the user interface and ensure a responsive,
user-friendly experience within Oracle APEX applications.
Perform database optimization for large datasets, ensuring fast query execution and
application performance.
Develop and optimize interactive Oracle APEX reports, dashboards, and data
visualizations to meet business and compliance requirements.
Ensure application security using APEX authentication/authorization schemes, data
access controls, and encryption where applicable.
Collaborate with Business analysts, data teams, and other stakeholders to
understand requirements, prototype solutions, and iterate based on feedback.
Create and manages up to date documentation on Application Specification, and
Data Flow Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams and architectural design documents using
Lucid chart or others.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field; advanced certifications
preferred.
Required Skills
Strong experience with Oracle APEX (23.x preferred).
4+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle APEX application development &
design, including Oracle APEX components such as Dynamic Actions, Interactive
Reports, Forms, and Charts.
Expertise in CSS and JavaScript for customizing and enhancing the Oracle APEX
user interface.
Experience integrating APEX applications with external systems using REST APIs.
Excellent problem-solving skills, particularly in large-scale data processing and
optimizing SQL and APEX performance.
Strong understanding of data security, including encryption, access controls, and
user management within Oracle APEX.
Preferred Skills:
Experience working in the life sciences or healthcare industries.
Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Exposure to CI/CD or automated deployment for Oracle applications.
