Qualification :
For Medical Candidates : (a) A recognized Medical Qualification included in the first or second schedule or Part-II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of Education Qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in Section 13(3) of the Act. (b) Should be Registered with the Medical Council of India or State Medical Council
For Non-Medical Candidates : A Post graduate qualification i.e., Master Degree in the concerned subject Allied discipline i.e., Medical Biochemistry, Medical Pharmacology etc. (Note : The respective subject/allied disciple should be as in the Table-I of Schedule I of the MCI "Minimum qualification for teachers in Medical Institutions Regulations, 1998)
Emoluments : PB-3 with Grade Pay of Rs. 5400/- i.e., Rs 21000/-( Basic Pay Rs.15600/- + Grade Pay Rs.5400/- ) + NPA + other allowances as admissible under the rules Per month

Qualification : MBBS from recognized university should be registered with MCI. Junior residents who have completed one year of Junior residency may be allowed to again appear for interview for selection and will be offered residency only if no fresh junior residents are available.
