Job DescriptionSiraj Quryat Trading LLC, a leading aluminium and glass fabrication company, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Estimator to join our team in Darsait, Oman. The ideal candidate could be an Engineer or a Draftsman with technical aptitude. Software training will be provided. This role offers excellent opportunities to develop expertise in estimation, costing, and project coordination for aluminium and glass works.
Key Responsibilities- Study architectural drawings, specifications, and BOQs related to aluminium and glass works.
- Prepare accurate material take-offs and quantity calculations for aluminium profiles, glass, accessories, and fittings.
- Generate cost estimates and quotations based on supplier prices, material consumption, and labour requirements.
- Coordinate with suppliers for pricing of aluminium profiles, glass types, and hardware accessories.
- Prepare detailed estimation sheets and project costing summaries.
- Assist in preparing technical submittals for client approvals.
- Liaise with the drafting team to resolve design and technical queries.
- Support project team in variations, re-measurements, and value engineering proposals.
- Maintain a database of material prices and estimation templates for future projects.
- Ensure timely submission of estimates and quotations to meet tender deadlines.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil/Mechanical/Architectural) OR qualification as a Draftsman with relevant experience.
- Freshers welcome; prior experience in aluminium and glass estimation is an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel; training on specialised aluminium software will be provided.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in calculations.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Competitive salary (OMR 300 – 600, depending on skills and experience)
