Executive Chef
Job Description
Having good knowledge in handling the kitchen team as well as the Banquet parties. Overall must have good knowledge in presenting and cooking foods in varies brands like Indian, Chinese, Bengali etc.
Key Responsibilities
1. Kitchen Operations Management
-
Oversee day-to-day kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.

Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control across all dishes.

Ensure that kitchen equipment is properly maintained and all work areas are clean and hygienic.
2. Menu Planning and Innovation
-
Design creative, seasonal, and cost-effective menus for à la carte, buffet, and banquet services.

Introduce innovative dishes while maintaining traditional favorites.

Keep up with culinary trends and incorporate them into the menu offerings.
3. Banquet and Event Catering
-
Plan and execute banquet menus for weddings, corporate events, and private parties.

Coordinate with the banquet manager and F&B team to ensure smooth service during events.

Manage large-scale cooking without compromising quality or presentation.
4. Multi-Cuisine Expertise
-
Specialize in Indian, Chinese, and Bengali cuisine, along with the ability to prepare other international dishes.

Ensure authenticity in flavors while adapting to guest preferences.

Train staff on multi-cuisine preparation techniques.
5. Team Leadership and Development
-
Lead, motivate, and supervise the kitchen team, including sous chefs, CDPs, commis, and kitchen helpers.

Assign duties based on skill levels and workload requirements.

Conduct regular training sessions to enhance culinary skills and maintain service standards.
6. Quality Control and Food Safety
-
Monitor and enforce hygiene and safety standards in compliance with FSSAI and HACCP guidelines.

Check all incoming raw materials for quality and freshness.

Conduct regular food tasting sessions to maintain quality consistency.
7. Cost Management and Inventory Control
-
Manage kitchen budgets and control food costs without compromising quality.

Monitor wastage and implement measures to minimize it.

Ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO) and maintain optimum inventory levels.
8. Coordination with Other Departments
-
Work closely with the F&B service team to ensure seamless guest experiences.

Collaborate with purchase and stores departments for timely supply of ingredients.

Participate in management meetings to plan menus, promotions, and special events.
