Job Title: Executive - Medical Coding

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Executive – Medical Coding to join our team in Calicut. The ideal candidate will have strong coding expertise, hold a valid medical coding certification, and bring a background in medical or paramedical sciences. This role offers an excellent opportunity to build a career in medical coding while contributing to high-quality healthcare data management.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately assign medical codes to diagnoses and procedures using ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
- Review and analyze medical records to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with medical staff and internal teams to clarify documentation and resolve coding-related queries.
- Ensure adherence to compliance guidelines, payer regulations, and organizational policies.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient health information in line with HIPAA and company standards.
- Participate in audits, quality checks, and process improvements to enhance coding accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of coding experience or Certified Freshers (excluding HCC coding).
- Must be a certified medical coder from AAPC or AHIMA.
- Educational background in Medical or Paramedical sciences (mandatory).
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and coding guidelines.
- UAE experience in medical coding will be considered an added advantage.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a structured environment.
Preferred Skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.
- Proficiency in using coding software and healthcare documentation systems.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
