Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead Generation and Prospecting:

Identify potential clients through research, cold calls, LinkedIn, networking, and local market visits.

Develop a database of prospective customers in target markets (SMEs, corporates, exporters, manufacturers, e-commerce, etc.).

Generate inquiries and set up meetings with decision-makers to understand their logistics requirements.
2. Client Engagement and Sales Conversion:

Present logistics services (such as FTL/LTL transportation, freight forwarding, warehousing, and courier solutions) to prospective clients.

Understand client business models and offer customized logistics solutions to address pain points.

Prepare and send proposals, quotations, rate sheets, and service-level agreements.

Negotiate pricing, service terms, and close contracts in line with company policies.
3. Relationship Management:
-
Maintain ongoing communication with clients to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.

Serve as the primary point of contact between clients and the operations team for service execution.

Handle client concerns or service issues promptly, escalating to appropriate departments when necessary.
4. Sales Reporting and CRM:

Maintain accurate records of leads, prospects, activities, and conversions in the company’s CRM system.

Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports on sales performance, customer feedback, and market conditions.

Monitor competitors’ activities and provide insights to help refine company offerings and pricing strategies.
5. Coordination with Internal Teams:

Liaise with operations, customer service, accounts, and dispatch teams to ensure service delivery as promised.

Communicate client-specific service requirements or challenges to the concerned department proactively.
6. Targets and Performance Metrics:

Achieve individual sales targets and contribute to regional/business unit goals.

Focus on both volume and margin-based sales to ensure profitability.

Work under pressure to meet monthly and quarterly targets in a competitive logistics market.
