Job Description

JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Understand the typesetting work flow.
Familiarize with the editing tools.
Familiarize with the respective publisher’s style sheet/guide/manuals.
Familiarize with proof reading marks.
Understand the author’s requirement.
Gain knowledge of copy-editing concepts.
Checking the manuscripts for consistency.
Handle simple copy-editing process.
Ensure high quality deliverables within the agreed time span.
Understand the organization culture.

REQUIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE :

Passion for reading/editing.
Ability to recognize inconsistencies (eye for details) in the styles and language.
Ability to sustain focus throughout an entire article/document.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Strong in English grammar,
Excellent command over English (both written and verbal skills).
Flexible to work in rotational shift.

COMPETENCY SKILL REQUIRED :

Willingness to learn and quick learner
Effective English communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills.
Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
Good interpersonal skills, to build working associations (Team Player)
Ensuring confidentiality
Flexibility/adaptability.
Self motivated.
