Job Description

Industry: FMCG / Organic Products / Export

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and fluent English-speaking Export Sales Associate with strong international sales experience specifically in the food industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating and converting B2B leads, managing overseas client communication, conducting market research, and growing our export business in the FMCG and organic products space.

This is a client-facing role that requires confidence, professionalism, and a deep understanding of international food trade practices and market dynamics. Prior knowledge of export documentation and compliance is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities:

1. International Sales & Lead Generation

  • Identify, contact, and convert international leads for FMCG / organic food products through various channels (email, LinkedIn, directories, trade portals, exhibitions).

  • Handle inbound export enquiries, qualify prospects, and create business opportunities.

  • Generate B2B leads in target markets (Middle East, Europe, Africa, Asia, etc.).

  • Build a strong pipeline of distributors, retailers, and bulk buyers.

2. Client Communication & Relationship Management

  • Manage client communication via email, WhatsApp, video calls, and international phone calls in fluent English.

  • Build and maintain long-term business relationships with international buyers and distributors.

  • Schedule and lead virtual meetings to present product offerings, pricing, and company profile.

  • Handle client objections, pricing discussions, and negotiation processes.

3. Sales Negotiation & Order Management

  • Prepare and send quotations, proformas, commercial proposals, and product specifications.

  • Negotiate terms of sales including pricing, delivery, payment terms, and packaging requirements.

  • Work with internal teams (production, packaging, logistics) to ensure timely execution of orders.

  • Follow up on purchase orders, advance payments, and dispatch updates with clients.

4. Export Process Support

  • Coordinate with the export documentation team for shipping documents (invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, etc.).

  • Understand Incoterms, export procedures, payment terms (LC, TT), and compliance.

  • Liaise with freight forwarders, CHA, and shipping companies when required.

  • Ensure smooth communication from order confirmation to shipment and post-sales service.

5. Market Research & Business Development

  • Conduct market research on trends in global food consumption, pricing, packaging, and competitor analysis.

  • Explore new countries and regions for business expansion.

  • Attend international food trade fairs and exhibitions (virtually or in person).

  • Share insights with the management team to improve product positioning and demand planning.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong skills in international client communication (email and calls).

  • Good understanding of export sales cycles, documentation, and compliance.

  • Ability to generate leads through independent research and networking.

  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and self-driven.

  • Working knowledge of CRM tools, Excel, and Google Workspace.

  • Familiarity with platforms like Alibaba, IndiaMART, TradeIndia, Export Genius, etc.
