Applications are invited by Nehru Memorial Museum and
Library (NMML) for the award of fellowships to scholars to pursue research in
(i) India: Recent Historical Trends and Developments (ii) India in Transition:
Issues and Challenges (iii) India and the Wider World
Qualifications:
Senior Fellow : Scholars of eminence who have made a
significant contribution to the knowledge in their respective fields and
preferably have experience of conducting/guiding research and have two
published books to their credit.
Fellow : Ph.D. or equivalent with a good academic
record, published works and at least five years teaching/post-doctoral research
experience.
Fellowship : Senior Fellows/Fellows will be reimbursed contingent expenses up to the ceiling limit of Rs.30,000/- per annum, while Junior Fellows will be reimbursed contingent expenses up to the ceiling limit of Rs.25,000/- per annum, which they may incur on travel, purchase of stationery, books (not available in our Library), typing, photocopying, etc. The claims may be submitted by the Fellows in the prescribed proforma along with supporting cash memos, receipts/details of expenditure every month to the office for reimbursement. The Junior Fellows/Fellows/Senior Fellows of the NMML can carry forward 50% of the total contingency amount earmarked for the first year of fellowship to the second year.
