Job Description
Job Summary
The Dental Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic. This role involves assisting the dentist during procedures, preparing instruments, maintaining cleanliness and sterilization of equipment, and making patients feel comfortable throughout their visit. We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and responsible female candidate who is eager to learn, understands basic English, and preferably resides close to Nungambakkam.
Key Responsibilities
1. Chairside Assistance
-
Assist the dentist during all clinical procedures such as cleaning, filling, extraction, root canal treatments, and other dental work.

Hand over the required instruments and materials during treatment.

Suction and rinse patient’s mouth during procedures to keep the work area clean and dry.

Ensure patients are seated comfortably before treatment begins and assist in positioning them properly.
2. Instrument Sterilization & Clinic Hygiene
-
Sterilize all instruments before and after use using autoclaves and disinfectants.

Maintain hygiene standards and ensure the dental chair, tools, and operating areas are clean at all times.

Dispose of used materials safely as per clinical waste protocols.
3. Patient Care & Support

Welcome patients to the clinic, assist them with seating and basic instructions.

Explain post-treatment care instructions as given by the dentist.

Help elderly or anxious patients feel calm and comfortable.

Record vital details as instructed by the dentist (if trained).
4. Inventory & Clinic Maintenance

Monitor the stock of dental materials and inform the dentist or manager when items need replenishment.

Help in setting up trays and materials for procedures in advance.

Maintain cleanliness in the waiting area, reception, and washroom areas (when support staff is unavailable).
5. Communication & Coordination
-
Understand simple instructions from the dentist in English and execute them efficiently.

Coordinate with other team members and assist with appointments or schedules if required.

Maintain discipline and professionalism with patients and team.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
-
Minimum 10th Pass from any recognized board
-
Additional training or experience in dental assisting is an advantage
Language Skills:
-
Must understand and speak basic English
-
Tamil or Hindi-speaking skills are a bonus for local communication

Female candidates only
Location Preference:

Candidates residing in or near Nungambakkam will be given preference for ease of commute
Work Schedule
-
Days: Monday to Saturday (Sunday Off)

Timing: 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Lunch Break: 30–45 minutes (flexible timing based on patient schedule)
