Key Responsibilities:
1. Patient Assessment:
-
Conduct detailed physical assessments of patients to diagnose muscle, nerve, or joint-related conditions.

Take thorough histories regarding the patient’s medical condition, lifestyle, and physical activity level.

Perform posture evaluations, range-of-motion tests, and muscle strength analysis.
2. Treatment Planning:
-
Develop personalized treatment plans using physiotherapy techniques suited to each patient’s condition.
-
Set realistic short-term and long-term recovery goals in coordination with the patient and/or referring doctor.
-
Modify treatment protocols based on progress and patient feedback.
3. Therapy & Rehabilitation:
-
Carry out manual therapy, electrotherapy (TENS, IFT, ultrasound), taping, and dry needling (if certified).
-
Demonstrate and guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, or use of assistive tools.
-
Support recovery in cases of post-surgical rehab, orthopedic conditions, back pain, sports injuries, neurological impairments, etc.
4. Women’s Health Focus (Optional):

Provide therapy for women’s health concerns such as:

Antenatal and postnatal physiotherapy

Pelvic floor strengthening
-
Menstrual or post-menopausal pain management

Ensure privacy, empathy, and comfort for all female clients.
5. Documentation & Reporting:
-
Maintain accurate records of assessments, progress notes, and treatment outcomes.

Prepare reports for doctors, insurance claims, or for clinical audit purposes.

Update patient files regularly and confidentially using EMR systems or physical records.
6. Home Visit (If Applicable):
-
Travel to patients’ homes (if assigned) for therapy sessions and ensure safe exercise conditions at home.

Carry portable therapy tools if required and maintain punctuality and professional conduct.
7. Patient Education & Support:

Educate patients and caregivers about recovery routines, exercises, postural care, and home-based wellness practices.

Motivate and emotionally support patients throughout long rehabilitation journeys.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
-
Education: Bachelor’s degree (BPT) in Physiotherapy fresh candidate with internship completed. Master’s (MPT) in any specialization is a plus.

License/Registration: Must be registered with a recognized state or national physiotherapy council.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in physiotherapy modalities (manual therapy, exercise therapy, electrotherapy).

Empathy and patience when dealing with patients

Clear communication and motivational ability

Basic computer literacy for record-keeping
