Field Application Engineer
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Technical Consultation & Pre-Sales Support:
-
Collaborate with the sales team during customer meetings to understand technical requirements.

Analyze customer needs and provide appropriate product recommendations and solutions.
-
Deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept solutions to prospective clients.

Respond to RFIs, RFPs, and technical questionnaires in collaboration with product management.
2. Product Deployment & Application Support:
-
Guide customers through the onboarding, integration, and implementation of company products.

Customize or adapt solutions to specific customer applications as needed.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to product usage, configuration, and compatibility.
-
Provide hands-on support during installation, testing, and validation at customer sites.
3. Training & Education:

Conduct product training and knowledge transfer sessions for customers, partners, and internal teams.

Prepare user manuals, technical documentation, and application notes.
-
Support the development of training materials, videos, and FAQs.
4. Customer Relationship Management:
-
Build strong technical relationships with key customers, engineers, and decision-makers.
-
Act as a trusted technical advisor and maintain regular follow-ups post-deployment.

Gather feedback and relay product improvement suggestions to R&D and product teams.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with internal departments including R&D, Product Management, QA, and Customer Support.

Participate in product roadmap discussions by providing real-world insights from customer use cases.

Help in developing reference designs and custom firmware or configuration files as required.
6. Market & Competitor Analysis:

Stay updated on industry trends, competing technologies, and emerging standards.

Provide market intelligence and technical benchmarking against competitor products.
-
Identify gaps and propose solutions or features to enhance the competitiveness of offerings.
7. Travel & Field Work:

Travel to customer sites, industry events, trade shows, and partner facilities as needed.

Perform on-site assessments, system integration support, and post-deployment optimization.
