Job Description
The Food Nutrition and Health Education Centre at Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore is inviting applications for the post of Field Assistant from suitable candidates for a DST-SEED funded project entitled “Enhancement of Livelihood for Scheduled Caste Households Through an ICT Enabled Integrated Rural Nutrition Centre in Madukkarai Block of Coimbatore District, Tamil Nadu”.
Designation: Field Assistant
No. of Positions: One
Project Duration: 02 Years (2021-2023); Recruitment is for the second and third year. Initial appointment for first year and extended to one more year based on performance and other conditions.
Job location: Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore Campus.
Salary: Rs. 15,000/- for both years.
Essential Qualification: The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree/Diploma with (with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade) from a UGC recognized University.
Desirable skills & Capacity: Candidates are required to have knowledge about Community Nutrition/Food Processing/ Social Work. Candidates preferably with Computer software development, Computer programming/ Application Development/ Field Work and Food Processing experience are encouraged. Computer skills and Language skill (English & Tamil) is an added advantage.
Job Responsibilities: Field & Community work, Training, Technology intervention (Computer Science & Food Processing Technology) in field trials.
