Position Overview
A Field Electrical Trainee Representative is an entry-level role designed for individuals interested in building a career in the electrical engineering, power distribution, and infrastructure sector. This position combines technical exposure with business development responsibilities, providing a unique opportunity to learn both the operational and commercial aspects of electrical projects.
The candidate will work under the guidance of senior engineers and project managers, assisting in the execution of High Tension (HT), Low Tension (LT), cabling, and liasoning work. The role also involves engaging with government authorities, coordinating approvals, and supporting project completion. Additionally, the trainee will participate in sales and client acquisition activities to help grow the company’s business portfolio.
This position is suitable for fresh graduates or diploma holders in electrical engineering who are eager to gain practical, real-world experience in the field while developing their professional skills.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development and Sales Support

Assist in developing sales strategies to attract new clients in the electrical projects sector.

Identify potential customers through research, networking, and industry events.

Support seniors in preparing proposals, quotations, and tender documents.

Follow up on leads, inquiries, and opportunities generated by the sales team.

Participate in client meetings, presentations, and site visits to understand requirements.
2. Project Assistance

Assist senior engineers in planning, execution, and monitoring of HT, LT, and cabling projects.

Help in the preparation of project schedules, work plans, and resource allocation.

Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory guidelines during project execution.

Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and team members to ensure smooth workflow.

Track project progress and report updates to the senior project manager.
3. High Tension (HT) and Low Tension (LT) Work Support

Learn the basics of HT and LT electrical systems, including installation, testing, and commissioning.

Support the team in managing electrical connections, transformers, and switchgear.

Assist in site inspections to ensure that work meets technical specifications and safety norms.
4. Cabling Work Assistance

Help in laying, jointing, and terminating power cables for various voltage levels.

Learn cable routing, underground cabling procedures, and cable tray installations.

Assist in testing and troubleshooting cable faults under senior supervision.
5. Liasoning Work

Coordinate with government departments, electricity boards, and other regulatory bodies for project approvals.

Help prepare documentation required for government submissions.

Accompany seniors during meetings with officials to understand the liasoning process.

Track and follow up on approval statuses to avoid project delays.
6. Communication and Coordination

Maintain effective communication between internal teams, clients, and authorities.
