Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for a proactive and energetic Field Recruiter to join our recruitment team with a specific focus on blue-collar workforce hiring. This role demands extensive fieldwork including direct candidate sourcing through foot-on-street (FOS) activities, cold calling, field presentations, and local community engagement. The Field Recruiter will be responsible for attracting, screening, and onboarding candidates for roles such as delivery agents, warehouse staff, loaders/unloaders, drivers, housekeeping, security staff, and other operational positions.
The ideal candidate is someone who understands grassroots hiring, thrives in fast-paced environments, and is highly effective at engaging candidates from informal and semi-formal employment backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Candidate Sourcing and Outreach

Conduct extensive foot-on-street (FOS) recruitment drives in markets, labor hubs, community areas, industrial zones, and transit points.

Distribute flyers, posters, and conduct brief presentations to introduce job opportunities and attract potential candidates.

Develop and maintain a strong candidate pipeline through cold calling, field networking, referrals, and partnerships with training institutes or NGOs.

Engage local communities and influencers (e.g., tea vendors, shopkeepers, security guards) for referral-based hiring.
2. Screening and Shortlisting

Conduct initial screening interviews to assess candidates’ eligibility, interest, and fit for various blue-collar job roles.

Collect, verify, and maintain candidate documentation including ID proof, address verification, and past employment details.

Schedule interviews with operational or site managers as per job requirements.
3. Recruitment Campaigns and Events

Organize and manage recruitment camps and walk-in drives in collaboration with site HR or hiring managers.

Coordinate logistics for recruitment events such as venue booking, materials distribution, and on-the-spot assessments or registrations.

Track attendance, conversions, and report outcomes from field events in a timely manner.
4. Database Management and Reporting

Maintain an up-to-date candidate database and ensure regular follow-ups for joining.

Submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on recruitment activity, number of leads generated, conversions, and feedback from the field.

Use internal ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems) or spreadsheets to track candidate lifecycle stages.
5. Stakeholder Coordination

Work closely with operations managers, HR business partners, and onboarding teams to understand manpower requirements and timelines.

Ensure alignment with local labor laws, company policies, and recruitment protocols.

Share feedback from the ground regarding job perceptions, salary expectations, or hiring challenges to improve recruitment strategies.
