Job Description
1. Daily Market Coverage & Order Booking
Adhere strictly to the daily Beat Plan (PJP - Permanent Journey Plan) to ensure 100% coverage of designated retail outlets.
Visit a target number of stores daily (typically 35–40 outlets) to pitch products, book orders, and ensure consistent inventory levels.
Focus on maximizing ECO (Effective Coverage Outlets) and increasing the LPC (Lines Per Call) by cross-selling and up-selling the complete product portfolio.
2. Relationship Management & New Outlet Expansion
Establish and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with retail shopkeepers, wholesalers, and standalone store owners.
Identify and onboard new retail outlets in your territory to continually expand the brand’s market footprint.
Resolve any retailer grievances regarding damaged stock, delivery delays, or scheme settlements promptly.
3. Merchandising & Brand Visibility
Ensure our products are prominently displayed on shelves at eye level (Primary Visibility).
Deploy marketing materials such as posters, banners, danglers, and POSM (Point of Sale Materials) to catch the consumer's eye.
Ensure stock rotation on shelves following FIFO (First In, First Out) to minimize product expiry issues.
4. Distributor Coordination & Reporting
Coordinate daily with the mapped local distributor to hand over booked orders and ensure timely, accurate deliveries to retailers.
Track and ensure payment collections from retailers wherever applicable.
Log all daily visits, orders, and market feedback into the company’s SFA (Sales Force Automation) Mobile App in real-time.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Achievement of monthly primary and secondary sales targets.
Number of productive calls per day (Strike Rate).
New retail outlet onboarding (Numeric Distribution growth).
Placement and visibility of focus products / New Product Launches (NPDs).
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience & Education
Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience as a field sales representative or salesman in an FMCG company. Freshers with a strong passion for sales and great communication skills may also be considered.
Education: Graduate degree in any stream.
Essential Criteria
Mandatory: Must own a functional Two-Wheeler (Motorcycle/Scooter) with a valid driving license.
Tech Comfort: Must own a smartphone and know how to operate basic apps (as daily reporting is done via a Sales App).
