Field Sales Executive
Job Description
Position Overview:
The Field Sales Executive – Credit Card Sales is responsible for generating new credit card customers through direct, face-to-face interactions in assigned territories. This role involves identifying prospects, explaining the benefits and features of the bank’s credit cards, and converting them into satisfied customers.
The position requires a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, in-depth product knowledge, and the ability to meet or exceed sales targets consistently. The executive must also ensure compliance with all banking regulations and maintain the highest levels of professionalism while representing the organization in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead Generation and Prospecting

Identify potential customers through field visits, cold calls, referrals, and participation in promotional events.

Approach customers in high-footfall areas such as corporate offices, retail outlets, shopping malls, and public spaces.

Work closely with marketing teams to leverage campaigns and promotional offers for lead generation.
2. Product Promotion and Presentation

Explain credit card benefits, features, rewards programs, interest rates, fees, and other relevant terms in a clear and persuasive manner.

Address customer queries regarding eligibility criteria, documentation, and application procedures.

Highlight unique selling points such as cashback offers, reward points, lounge access, or special tie-ups with merchants.
3. Customer Acquisition

Assess customer eligibility through pre-screening based on income, credit history, and employment status.

Assist customers in filling out application forms and collecting the required documents (ID proof, income proof, photographs, etc.).

Coordinate with the backend processing team to ensure timely submission and approval of applications.
4. Sales Target Achievement

Achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets set by the organization.

Maintain a healthy conversion rate from leads to successful applications.

Work with the team to identify high-potential customer segments and focus efforts accordingly.
5. Relationship Management

Build trust and rapport with customers to encourage referrals and repeat sales.

Maintain follow-ups with customers until card delivery and activation.

Support customers in understanding post-sales processes like activation, usage, and benefits redemption.
6. Compliance and Documentation

Adhere to all regulatory guidelines and bank policies, especially related to KYC (Know Your Customer) norms and data confidentiality.

Ensure accurate and complete documentation for all applications to prevent delays or rejections.

Report any suspicious or fraudulent activity immediately to the compliance team.
7. Market Awareness

Keep track of competitor credit card products, pricing, and promotions.

Share feedback with management regarding market trends, customer preferences, and potential product improvements.
8. Coordination and Reporting

Submit daily and weekly sales reports, including leads generated, conversions, and pipeline updates.

Participate in regular team meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews.
