Job Description

Job Summary:

A Field Sales Executive is responsible for meeting potential clients in person, promoting products or services, building customer relationships, and closing sales deals. This is a client-facing role that involves extensive travel, proactive lead generation, product demonstrations, negotiation, and post-sales support. Field Sales Executives play a crucial role in increasing company revenue, expanding market presence, and representing the brand directly in the field.

The ideal candidate is outgoing, persuasive, self-driven, and results-oriented, with excellent interpersonal and sales skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Generation and Prospecting:

  • Identify new business opportunities through market research, cold visits, networking, and referrals.

  • Visit potential customers in designated territories to pitch products/services.

  • Schedule and conduct meetings with clients to understand their needs and pain points.

  • Develop a strong understanding of the company’s offerings to confidently present them to prospects.

Sales and Business Development:

  • Present, promote, and sell products/services to customers using solid arguments and product knowledge.

  • Conduct product demonstrations and explain features, benefits, and pricing.

  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to close profitable sales.

  • Consistently meet or exceed sales targets, revenue goals, and territory objectives.

  • Prepare and deliver sales proposals and quotations tailored to customer requirements.

  • Upsell and cross-sell to existing clients to increase account value.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with new and existing customers.

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through follow-ups, prompt issue resolution, and professional service.

  • Collect customer feedback to improve service and identify new sales opportunities.

  • Act as a trusted point of contact and liaison between the customer and the internal team.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of all sales visits, client conversations, quotations, and deals closed.

  • Use CRM systems or mobile apps to update lead status, customer information, and follow-up actions.

  • Submit daily/weekly sales reports, visit logs, and pipeline updates to the reporting manager.

  • Analyze sales data and customer behavior to refine strategies and improve performance.

Territory and Time Management:

  • Plan daily travel routes and manage time efficiently to cover assigned areas and meet daily targets.

  • Monitor competitor activities within the assigned territory and report intelligence to management.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, market shifts, and product updates relevant to the business.

  • Excellent verbal communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills.

  • Confident public speaking and presentation abilities.

  • Strong listening skills to understand customer requirements.

Customer Service Orientation:
