Field Sales Executive
Job Description
Job Summary:
The Field Sales Executive is responsible for acquiring and onboarding merchants to use the company’s digital payment solutions. This role involves visiting retail outlets, explaining the benefits of the app, assisting in registration, and supporting merchants post-onboarding. You will be the face of the brand in the market, helping digitize payments for small businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Merchant Acquisition

Identify potential merchants (retail shops, kirana stores, restaurants, vendors, etc.) in your assigned territory.

Visit locations in person and pitch the digital payment app.

Educate merchants on the features, benefits, and competitive advantages of the app.

Convince merchants to register and activate the app on their devices (Android or POS machines).

Assist merchants with onboarding, KYC document collection, and verification.
2. Field Sales Operations
-
Achieve daily/weekly/monthly targets for merchant sign-ups and activations.

Install QR codes or app stickers at merchant premises.

Train merchants on app usage, receiving payments, refunds, reports, and customer service tools.

Monitor transaction volume and merchant engagement after onboarding.

Revisit dormant merchants and assist in reactivation.
3. Relationship Management

Build strong relationships with merchants for long-term retention.

Act as the first point of contact for merchant issues or app-related queries.

Collect merchant feedback and share insights with the product and support teams.

Promote new app features and upgrades to existing users.
4. Reporting & Documentation

Maintain accurate records of leads, visits, sign-ups, and merchant activity.

Submit daily sales reports to your supervisor through CRM or reporting apps.

Ensure proper documentation (Aadhaar, PAN, business license) is collected as per RBI/UIDAI KYC norms.

Track and report market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum 10+2 (Higher Secondary); a bachelor’s degree in any field is an advantage.

Freshers with strong communication skills and willingness to learn are also welcome.

Strong knowledge of local area/territory and ability to travel within assigned zones.

Basic understanding of smartphones, mobile apps, QR codes, and UPI payments.

Good negotiation, persuasion, and customer handling skills.

Ability to work independently and meet performance targets.

Proficiency in local language and basic English is a must.
