Job Summary:

A Field Sales Executive is responsible for generating leads, meeting potential clients in person, promoting products or services, and closing sales in a designated geographical area. This role involves traveling extensively to meet clients, building relationships, and representing the company’s offerings in the field. Field Sales Executives play a crucial role in driving business growth, expanding the customer base, and achieving sales targets.

The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, target-driven, and capable of working independently while also being an excellent communicator and relationship builder. This role suits individuals who enjoy working outside the office, interacting with people, and taking ownership of their performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead Generation and Prospecting

  • Identify and research potential clients through field visits, referrals, business directories, or cold calling.

  • Conduct door-to-door or site-to-site prospecting to introduce the company’s products/services.

  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified prospects in the assigned territory.

2. Client Visits and Sales Presentations

  • Meet clients in person to understand their requirements and pitch relevant products or services.

  • Deliver compelling sales presentations or demonstrations, highlighting key benefits and value propositions.

  • Customize solutions based on client needs and budget.

3. Sales Closure and Revenue Generation

  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contract details to close deals.

  • Follow up with prospects to ensure sales conversion and customer satisfaction.

  • Achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets set by the management.

4. Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers.

  • Provide post-sale support, handle queries, and ensure timely delivery or service activation.

  • Encourage repeat business and customer referrals through excellent service and rapport-building.

5. Reporting and Documentation

  • Maintain accurate records of leads, prospects, meetings, sales calls, and conversions using CRM tools or spreadsheets.

  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports to the sales manager or team leader.

  • Collect market feedback, competitor information, and customer insights and share them with the marketing or product team.

6. Market Mapping and Territory Management

  • Understand the geography, customer segments, and competition in the assigned area.

  • Plan and execute territory coverage efficiently to maximize reach and productivity.

  • Attend sales meetings, training sessions, and team discussions as required.

7. Promotions and Campaigns

  • Distribute marketing materials, flyers, or product samples during field visits.

  • Participate in on-ground promotional events, exhibitions, or campaigns organized by the company.

  • Represent the brand professionally and positively in all public interactions.
