Position Overview:

The Field Sales Executive is responsible for promoting, selling, and servicing currency handling products and office seating solutions to clients, particularly government organisations, across Siliguri and nearby cities. The role demands proactive client acquisition, strong relationship management, and ensuring prompt service delivery—qualities that define the company’s reputation in the market.

The position involves end-to-end sales responsibilities—from prospecting and lead generation to product demonstration, negotiation, order closure, and post-sales follow-up. Since government organisations form the core client base, the executive must also be familiar with tender procedures, official procurement processes, and long sales cycles.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales & Business Development

  • Identify potential customers in Siliguri and nearby cities, focusing on government departments, offices, banks, and public institutions.

  • Actively prospect and generate leads through field visits, cold calls, networking, and participation in trade events.

  • Present and promote the company’s range of currency handling products (cash counting machines, counterfeit detectors, etc.) and office seating solutions to potential clients.

2. Client Engagement & Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with procurement officials, department heads, and decision-makers.

  • Schedule regular follow-ups with existing clients to explore repeat orders and referrals.

  • Maintain a positive company image by providing professional, timely, and helpful service at all times.

3. Tender & Government Sales Process

  • Understand government purchase procedures, tenders, and rate contracts.

  • Track upcoming tenders related to currency handling products and office seating solutions.

  • Prepare and submit bids/tenders in coordination with the sales manager.

  • Ensure all compliance requirements are met for government procurement.

4. Product Demonstrations & Presentations

  • Conduct product demos at client sites, highlighting key features, benefits, and cost-effectiveness.

  • Assist clients in selecting the right solutions based on their operational needs and budgets.

  • Explain after-sales service processes and warranty terms to ensure customer confidence.

5. Sales Closure & Documentation

  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery timelines within company guidelines.

  • Ensure timely preparation and submission of sales proposals and quotations.

  • Follow up on pending approvals and purchase orders to convert them into confirmed sales.

6. Post-Sales Support Coordination

  • Liaise with the service team to ensure prompt installation, maintenance, and repair of products.

  • Address any customer complaints quickly and effectively to maintain high satisfaction.

  • Keep clients updated on new product launches, service improvements, and promotions.

7. Market & Competitor Awareness

  • Keep track of competitor activities, pricing strategies, and product launches in the region.
