Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated and hardworking Field Sales Executive to join our dynamic sales team in the food industry. The primary responsibility of this role is to generate sales by visiting retailers, wholesalers, distributors, HORECA (hotels, restaurants, catering), or supermarkets. The candidate must have strong relationship-building skills, territory knowledge, and a passion for achieving targets in a competitive market.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Generation & Target Achievement:

Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets as assigned.

Sell the company’s food products to general trade, modern trade, and institutional clients.

Promote new product launches and ensure product visibility at the retail level.
2. Market Visits & Order Booking:
-
Visit 20–30 outlets per day, including shops, supermarkets, wholesalers, etc.

Take product orders from customers and forward them to the logistics/distribution team.

Ensure timely delivery coordination and follow-ups for payments.
3. Retailer & Distributor Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers and distributors in the territory.

Resolve customer issues related to pricing, availability, or product quality.

Educate partners about offers, schemes, and discounts.
4. Merchandising & Branding:

Ensure proper product display and stock levels at each outlet.

Place POP materials, posters, and standees where applicable.

Monitor competitors’ branding and market positioning.
5. Reporting & Documentation:

Maintain records of daily calls, orders booked, collections, and route coverage.

Submit daily sales reports and updates via mobile app or Excel.

Share market insights, competitor activities, and customer feedback with management.
6. Payment Follow-up:

Ensure timely collection of payments (cash or credit) as per agreed terms.

Reconcile accounts with retailers and assist with billing-related queries.
Key Skills Required:

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Basic understanding of the FMCG or food product distribution system

Sales negotiation and customer handling skills

Route planning and time management abilities

Knowledge of local market language (mandatory)
Eligibility Criteria:

Minimum 12th Pass / Graduate in any discipline

Minimum years of field sales experience in FMCG/Food/Beverage/Dairy sector preferred

Two-wheeler with valid driving license (mandatory for field movement)

Should be familiar with the assigned sales territory or city

Basic smartphone knowledge for reporting
