Job Description
Job Summary:
A Field Sales Executive is responsible for selling products or services directly to customers in a designated geographic area through on-site visits, meetings, and client interactions. The role involves identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with clients, and achieving sales targets.
Field Sales Executives are the front line of a company’s sales efforts. Their ability to engage face-to-face with customers helps to build trust, understand client needs, and close deals. This job is ideal for individuals who are self-driven, target-oriented, and enjoy traveling and interacting with different people daily.
Key Responsibilities:

Sales and Revenue Generation

Meet and exceed sales targets set by the company.

Actively identify and approach potential customers in the assigned area.

Present, promote, and sell products or services using solid arguments and persuasive communication.

Client Relationship Management

Build strong relationships with new and existing clients through regular follow-ups and visits.

Understand customer needs and recommend suitable solutions or products.

Handle customer objections or queries effectively and professionally.

Lead Generation and Conversion

Generate leads through cold calling, referrals, door-to-door visits, field promotions, and local marketing activities.

Maintain and update a database of prospects and leads.

Convert prospects into customers by conducting product demonstrations and sales pitches.

Territory Management

Plan daily, weekly, and monthly schedules to cover the assigned geographical area efficiently.

Track and report on sales activities, territory progress, and customer interactions.

Ensure proper coverage and penetration in both urban and rural markets if applicable.

Market Research and Feedback

Monitor competitors’ activities, pricing strategies, and market conditions.

Collect feedback from customers and report insights to the management team.

Suggest improvements or adjustments to sales strategies based on customer behavior and market trends.

Product Knowledge and Promotion

Develop deep knowledge of the company’s products and services.

Stay updated on product features, benefits, pricing, and availability.

Participate in promotional activities such as campaigns, roadshows, exhibitions, or demos.

Reporting and Documentation

Maintain accurate records of sales calls, customer meetings, and order follow-ups.

Submit daily or weekly reports to the sales manager or CRM software.

Track sales performance against goals and prepare performance summaries when required.

Customer Service

Assist customers with order placement, delivery coordination, or post-sale service.

Address product concerns or after-sales support needs.
