Field Sales Executive
Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Field Sales Executive with prior experience working under water pump dealers, sanitaryware/CP fitting distributors, or related plumbing hardware segments. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in B2B field sales, with strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to meet and exceed monthly sales targets.
This role involves cold calling, identifying and approaching potential customers, negotiating deals, closing orders, and maintaining relationships with plumbing contractors, retailers, builders, and distributors. Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead Generation and Cold Calling

Identify new business opportunities in the assigned territory through market research, cold visits, and referrals.

Visit plumbing hardware shops, construction sites, dealers, and contractors to introduce company products.

Initiate cold calls and site visits to generate inquiries and schedule meetings with decision-makers.
2. Product Presentation and Demonstration

Present the company’s product portfolio including water pumps, pipes, sanitary fittings, and CP accessories.

Explain product features, USPs, warranty, and application benefits to prospective customers.

Recommend the most suitable products based on customer needs and technical requirements.
3. Sales Conversion and Target Achievement

Convert leads into confirmed orders by following up with prospects regularly.

Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets as assigned by the management.

Handle objections effectively and close deals with confidence.
4. Negotiation and Deal Closure

Negotiate pricing, discounts, delivery terms, and payment conditions within company policies.

Prepare and share quotations, proformas, or invoices with customers.

Ensure deals are finalized and executed smoothly with accurate order documentation.
5. Relationship Management

Build and maintain long-term relationships with key customers, dealers, retailers, and contractors.

Provide post-sales support and ensure customer satisfaction to encourage repeat business.

Act as a trusted advisor to the customer, updating them about new launches or offers.
6. Market Intelligence and Competitor Tracking

Monitor competitor pricing, marketing strategies, and new product entries in the region.

Share valuable feedback with the product or management team to improve offerings.

Identify gaps or opportunities in the market and suggest strategies to improve outreach.
7. Reporting and Coordination

Maintain accurate records of leads, meetings, orders, and follow-ups using Excel or CRM tools.

Submit daily sales reports, visit logs, and expense reports to the Area Manager.

Coordinate with back-office, warehouse, and logistics teams for order fulfillment and dispatch.
Skills Required

Strong communication skills in local language and Hindi/English.

Excellent persuasion, negotiation, and deal-closing abilities.

Self-motivated, energetic, and results-driven attitude.

Good understanding of the plumbing product cycle and dealer networks.

Basic knowledge of sales documentation and reporting using mobile apps or Excel.
Other Requirements

Must own a two-wheeler and a valid driving license (for field mobility).

Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned area.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
